Child Life Zone Broadcast Studio Internship Program
The CLZ is a state-of-the-art environment that offers a different kind of "medicine." At the CLZ, we think games, art, music, creativity and imagination are great therapy and deliver a big dose of fun to help kids feel better.
Program Information
- We offer comprehensive internship training three times a year beginning in: January, May and August.
- The Child Life Zone Broadcast Studio Internship is a 15 week, full-time experience (40 hours/week).
- Students will obtain a total of 600 hours of studio experience.
- Students are expected to be available for internship during regular business hours.
- Certain individual assignments may require an intern to work some evenings and/or weekends.
Program Requirements
- Students must complete a variety of program assignments, not limited to the following:
- Develop shooting scripts and show bibles for projects
- To become proficient in a tapeless HD work flow
- To gain general knowledge of AVID, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite and other software utilized at a professional production environment
- To develop and gain experience with "live" production
- Complete the production process, bringing a concept to fruition
- Every student will leave with a working knowledge of troubleshooting
Applicant Requirements
- College seniors or graduates
- Must have a strong educational background in broadcast, communications or related field
- Must have relevant work experience in broadcast, communications or related field
- Some experience with children is recommended
- GPA 2.7 or above
