The center serves the needs of North Texas children and provides a variety of educational and charitable services such as education and counseling, a vision resource library, referrals for low-income families and support groups for parents of children with severe vision impairment.
The Alexander Vision Center is the only Fort Worth area facility that provides free eye exams and glasses to low-income, uninsured children.
The Alexander Vision Center also provides many families of blind children a unique opportunity for support, hosting activities that allow them to meet and interact with one another and have fun!
The Alexander Vision Center consists of two parts, an eye clinic and a vision resource center. The wonderful people who provide this benefit to our community include six volunteer pediatric ophthalmologists and five dedicated volunteers who work with patients in the clinic two days each month.
