In addition to her professional responsibilities, Dr. Hess enjoys spending time with her husband and two adult daughters. She is an avid runner and enjoys water and snow skiing. She also volunteers her time with both Global Hands of Healing, a nonprofit organization which provides medical, dental, and optometry care to individuals in underserved countries, and with fundraising efforts for her alma mater, Dartmouth College.
