Board eligible in neonatal-perinatal medicine, Dr. Barber is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, completed his residency in pediatrics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas, and his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Barber is currently Associate Medical Director of the NICU at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital. He has received numerous awards for both research and clinical excellence.
His interests include neonatal resuscitation, clinical research and electronic medical record development. He is a Neonatal Resuscitation Program instructor, serves on multiple hospital committees and has various teaching responsibilities.
Dr. Barber is married and has two sons. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys coaching baseball and attending hockey games.
