Dr. Bauer is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist who has completed subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT). He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completed his residency at Boston University and fellowship at Washington University/St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bauer performs surgery and treats all Pediatric ENT problems, including: chronic ear infections, chronic sinus infections, enlarged tonsils and adenoids, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic strep throat, tongue tie, laryngomalacia, vocal nodules and hoarseness. His particular area of expertise is Pediatric Otology (ear surgery). He routinely treats perforated ear drums, cholesteatomas, conductive hearing loss, sensorineural or nerve hearing loss, BAHA implants and Cochlear Implants. Dr. Bauer helped to start the Cochlear Implant Program at Cook Children’s in 2006. The Cochlear Implant program has completed over 125 implants since its beginning and continues to actively care for hearing impaired children across North Texas.
