Dr. Grajeda was born in the northern border state of Chihuahua, Mexico. Always a good student he graduated first top of class of his undergraduate school in Mexico City and also from his medical school in Ciudad Juarez. Since he was a child he knew he wanted to be a doctor; and even though he likes many things in the medical field, during his final years of medical school he realized that working with children was what he enjoyed the most.

He met his wife Rosa during his medical school while she was studying business in the same university, and they got married one year before graduating. They already had 4 children when he started his pediatric residency. Those were tough but really awesome years according to them. All 4 children want to follow a medical career.

Dr. Grajeda says: "Working at Cook Children's Northside Neighborhood Clinic is great! I very much enjoy my patients and their families there, and the staff are all really nice and well prepared people. I try to make a difference in the lives of the people I serve. I always take time to explain to parents (and to patient if old enough) the problem and the plan. A mother told me that her children actually cheered up when they knew they were going to the clinic to see Dr. Grajeda – that makes me have the best of feelings."

The things he enjoys outside work are all kinds of family activities. All family members are very active in their religious community. He also likes to play basketball, to see a good movie, loves photography, and always looks forward to attending his childrens' games and presentations. He and his wife recently enjoyed a wonderful trip celebrating their 20th anniversary.
