I was born in Fort Worth, and completed my professional training in New Orleans, LA, Fort Worth, TX, and Oakland, CA.  I served three years in the US Navy following my medical training, and have practiced general pediatric and adolescent medicine for 34 years.  I became Board Certified in General Pediatrics in 1978 and re-certified in 2009.  My wife, Anne, and I have been married for 40 years, and are privileged to have two sons and one chosen daughter, all fine citizens with thriving families of their own.
