Dr. Torrie is a native of Dallas who attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her residency at Southwestern Medical Center- Children's Medical Center of Dallas, and worked as a pediatrician in Lewisville before joining Cook Children's Physician Network in 1998.

Dr. Torrie is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Denton County Medical Society, and the Greater Dallas Pediatric Society. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Torrie enjoys a full range of pediatric patients, ranging from newborns through adolescents. In her time away from the office, Dr. Torrie enjoys spending time with her husband, camping, hiking and riding horses.
