GetWellNetwork® is a computer, TV, and gaming system all in one. Located in each patient room, this system helps educate and entertain patients and their families.
Language & translation services
Providing translation services to make sure non-English speaking or hearing impaired children and families understand their diagnosis or treatment.
Nutrition services
Nutrition Services provides customized nutrition assessments, planning and advice designed to help your child grow and be healthy.
Patient representatives
Listening to our patients and families. Our patient representatives are available to act as a liaison between our patients and our health care organization.
Sibshops - a celebration of siblings!
The Cook Children's Sibshops provide services to siblings of children living with a chronic illness or life-changing disability, who are or have been patients at Cook Children's Medical Center.
Social services
Working with the family to assess their ability to meet a child's ongoing health care needs. We are specially trained to assist families in times of physical, emotional and financial stress.
Youth Advisory Council (YAC-PAC)
All you have to do is look at the full name that supplies the acronym YAC-PAC to understand their purpose – Youth Advisory Council - patients advising for change.
Onsite resources
Gift shops, newspapers, playrooms, playgrounds, libraries, food, laundry, computer access, security, mail and we even have a Starbucks!

You can find good meals to eat and tasty snacks, treats and refreshing things to drink right here at the Medical Center.
Build-a-Bear Workshop
Everyone can use a furry friend, and you can create your own at the Build-a-Bear Workshop located right here in our Medical Center.
Child Life Zone
Welcome to the Child Life Zone (CLZ), a state-of-the-art environment that offers a different kind of “medicine.” At the CLZ, we think games, art, music, creativity and imagination are great therapy and deliver a big dose of fun to help kids feel better.
Family Health Library
Access to the Internet, books, videos, and medical information are available, with professional librarians available to help families find the information they need.
Labyrinth and Prayer Garden
The labyrinth was donated by the Woman’s Board at Cook Children’s Medical Center for the benefit of our patients, families, staff and volunteers. It is open to all who come to the aid of our children, our promise and our community.
