We know that a child’s illness or injury can impact a family physically, emotionally and financially. Fortunately, you don’t have to face these challenges alone. We provide a growing number of services for patients and families, all designed to help support, heal and encourage you through every step of your journey.

	Child advocacy resources and evaluation (CARE) Team Cook Children's CARE Team is dedicated to providing the care, support and tools necessary to bring an end to child abuse.
	Child Life Helping kids and families cope with a hospital experience by providing emotional and developmental support, honest information and activities to help them have fun.
	Chaplain & pastoral care Our chaplains are available 24 hours daily to provide counsel and comfort for people of all faiths and beliefs.
	Creative Artist in Residence Programme (CARPE) The Creative Artist in Residence Programme helps patients and patient families connect creativity with healing.
	Family Advisory Council A group of Cook Children's patient parents and staff meet monthly to review policies, initiate change and provide general feedback.
	GetWellNetwork GetWellNetwork® is a computer, TV, gaming system and patient/family education tool all in one. Located in each patient room, the system educates and entertains patients and families.
	Language & translation services Providing translation services to make sure non-English speaking or hearing impaired children and families understand their diagnosis or treatment.
	Nutrition services Nutrition services provides customized nutrition assessments, planning and advice designed to help your child grow and be healthy.
	Patient representatives Listening to our patients and families. Our patient representatives are available to act as a liaison between our patients and our health care organization.
	Sibshops - a celebration of siblings! The Cook Children's Sibshops provide services to siblings of children living with a chronic illness or life-changing disability, who are or have been patients at Cook Children's Medical Center.
	Social services Working with the family to assess their ability to meet a child's ongoing health care needs. We are specially trained to assist families in times of physical, emotional and financial stress.
	Youth Advisory Council (YAC-PAC) All you have to do is look at the full name that supplies the acronym YAC-PAC to understand their purpose – Youth Advisory Council - patients advising for change.
