My child has

Because childhood should be simple ...

Checking in

Knowing that your child needs surgery can be extremely stressful. Being prepared can ease some of your anxiety. Following are some things that can help your check-in go much more smoothly.

What to bring

On the day of your child's scheduled surgery at Northeast Hospital, you will need to bring the following information to your child’s appointment:

Where to go

Please check-in at the registration desk on the day of your appointment to complete the registration process.

If you have questions about your procedure or your arrival time, please speak with your doctor’s office before the day of your scheduled procedure.

Insurance, payments, and billing information

On the day of your child's surgery, you will be asked to pay any deductibles, co-payments or unmet out-of-pocket expenses that apply. For your convenience, most major credit cards are accepted.

As soon as you know your child will be needing surgery you will want to contact your insurance company with questions about your coverage, co-payments or deductibles so you know what is expected of you when you check in. You may also be contacted by a patient registration representative with benefit information regarding your child's procedure; or if we need to validate or collect further information.

You may receive multiple bills. Cook Children’s Northeast Hospital services are billed separately from physicians’ services and other professional services such as: anesthesiology, imaging (radiology) interpretations and pathology (lab) interpretations that your physician deems necessary, unless otherwise specified.
