Visitor information
We realize that hospitalization can be a stressful event. Please let us know how we can make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Please take a moment to review the following information:
- Visiting hours are from 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Please limit the number of visitors in the room to four at a time. This does not include parents. Siblings and other children may visit, but another adult needs to be present at all times during their visit.
- We ask that a family member over the age of 18 stay with the patient during the night. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to stay overnight. Please make other arrangements for childcare during this time.
- No latex balloons are allowed due to allergies and choking risk.
- No smoking is permitted on hospital grounds.
- Please see menu for available food choices. We also have a menu book available at the nurse’s desk for area restaurants.
- You must checkout with the nurse before leaving the unit. Patients cannot be left unattended except for a short period of time, and only if the staff is aware. Siblings and/or other children may not be left with the patient during this time.
- No one is allowed to sleep in the same bed/crib with a child under the age of 1. Because your child’s safety is our top concern, there will be no exceptions to this rule.
- There is a chair in the room that turns into a parent bed, please ask for assistance, if needed.
- Linens, towels and pillows are available to you at any time.
- Please use your call light to contact the nurse or come to the desk receptionist with any questions or concerns about your child.
- The telephone number to your room may be given to family and friends. Please dial 9 to get an outside line. You may also use your cell phone in the room.
- ALWAYS keep the side rails up on your child’s bed or crib when unattended or asleep.
