Rebecca Olvera, M.D.

We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Olvera, M.D. has extended hours to full time in order to expand our availability.

Rebecca Olvera, M.D. In 2004, Dr. Olvera joined the Cook Children's Physician Network as a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. Dr. Olvera also has a large number of multiples in her practice as she is the mother of two sets of twins. Dr. Olvera knows it is a privilege to practice medicine and provide health care to your children. She looks forward to being a part of your family and watching your children grow from infancy to young adulthood.

Dr. Olvera attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology in 1993. Dr. Olvera received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1997. She completed her pediatric residency at Texas A&M University College of Medicine – Scott and White Hospital, and served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics in 2000. She then attended The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Olvera attained her board certification in General Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics in 2000. Dr. Olvera became board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in 2004.
