High school heart screenings
Heart conditions in children and young adults go undetected all the time. That's why it is important to have your child's heart screened for risk factors associated with sudden cardiac arrest. Early detection could save your child's life!
Your child's heart screening should consist of a heart disease risk assessment –– electrocardiogram (ECG) - echocardiogram – for those with abnormal ECGs and other risk factors. Cook Children's recommends having your child's test results reviewed by a board-certified pediatric cardiologist.

Each year, Cook Children's hosts a FREE Heart Screening for High School Students event. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about this event and how to register, please call Laura Friend at 682-885-6755, or email laura.friend@cookchildrens.org
