Cook Children's NICU is committed to giving families resources to help get their newborn off to the best start.
We provide a variety of educational and family networking opportunities to help equip new parents with information including:
- NICU classes to help parents care for their babies during their stay.
- Support groups and socializing activities to provide parents of neonatal babies the opportunity to connect with each other in a casual setting.
- Child development and parenting literature pieces are available to help parents take care of their new baby’s needs.
- NICU Case Management contacts each patient family after they go home to check on their medications and remind them of follow-up appointments.
- Educational information covering a broad range of parenting and baby care subjects.
- Events for parents, families and the community.
Information about these and other resources is readily available to NICU families, just ask.
