Cook Children's University promotes organizational learning through continuing education on a variety of health care topics. These educational events offer health care professionals opportunities to learn from experts in pediatric health care and receive CE hours at the same time.

2008 Pediatric Trauma WorkshopThis program will provide the health care professional with the most current information in treating pediatric trauma patients throughout the continuum of care.
5th Annual Pediatric Epilepsy and Movement Disorder SymposiumCook Children’s invites you to the 2008 Pediatric Epilepsy and Movement Disorder Symposium to experience the knowledge of nationally recognized experts in the field of pediatric neurology. Rapidly changing advances in the field of epilepsy and movement disorders require health professionals to participate in specialized continuing education opportunities that advance their knowledge, skills and clinical practice.
Advanced Disaster Life Support (ADLS) WorkshopADLS is two full days of classroom, tabletop scenarios, and hands-on operations-level disaster response training.
BLS (CPR) for Healthcare ProvidersThe BLS for Healthcare Provider course teaches the skills of adult, child, and infant CPR.
BLS (CPR) for Healthcare Providers RenewalThis course allows individuals who are nearing the end of their two-year American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification to renew their certificate.
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) Prep CourseThe course helps prepare qualified nurses for the on-site Certified Pediatric Nurse examination through lecture and interactive activities.
Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider CourseA comprehensive curriculum designed to provide nurses with the knowledge base needed to safely care for children and adolescents receiving chemotherapy. Participants may qualify for the APON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)This course teaches participants to recognize the ill or injured child and identify significant yet subtle changes in the less acute child. This is a two-day course.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course: Instructor (ENPC-I)The ENPC Instructor course is a 7.5-hour course designed to facilitate dissemination of the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course through preparation of instructors emphasizing selected teaching strategies, appropriate evaluation methods, and includes a review of administrative procedures for the Provider course.
Heartsaver CPRThe Heartsaver CPR course is designed to teach CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction to lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace.
Heartsaver Pediatric First AidThe Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course teaches the skills necessary to provide CPR and first aid for children. Adult CPR and AED are included.
Neonatal Respiratory Critical Care ConferenceThe purpose of this event is to expand the knowledge of the experienced Neonatal ICU nurse, nurse practitioner and respiratory therapist to perform enhanced respiratory assessment and ventilatory management of the critically ill neonatal patient.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Instructor (NRP-I)Nurses, respiratory therapists, and physicians with current NRP status may take this course to become certified as an NRP Instructor.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR-R) RenewalUsing the 5th edition textbook, Cook Children's offers the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Association renewal course for care of the newborn that requires resuscitation at birth.
