Community Volunteer Program

The Community Relations Department partners with organizations, corporations and individuals to provide a variety of activities and events for patients during their stay in the hospital.

Community Volunteer Group Program

Community service opportunities exist year-round for corporations, schools and other organizations. Groups who register with the Community Relations Department are notified whenever volunteer opportunities arise at the medical center or when volunteers are needed for events in the community.

Patient Entertainment

Performances at the medical center provide patients and their families with an enjoyable distraction from the hospital routine. Some groups perform music and drama, while others bring special activities.

Interested groups and individuals are asked to complete an application to arrange their performance in advance through the Community Relations Department.

Entertainment activities are generally scheduled on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m..

The winter holiday season is a popular time for special visits; however, please consider scheduling other times. Our patients enjoy performances throughout the year.

Many groups combine donations or gifts for the medical center with a performance. If you are interested in doing so, please review the Wish List to find an updated list of needed items.
