Cook Children’s Health Plan
Cook Children’s Health Plan provides vital coverage to more than 40,000 low-income people who qualify for government-sponsored programs such as Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. The Health Plan is a managed care organization established by Cook Children’s Health Care System in 1998 to arrange for the provision of health insurance benefits to underinsured and uninsured children within our community.
Children enrolled in the Cook Children’s Health Plan are assured timely access to medically necessary care, including preventative services. The clinical staff of the Health Plan also manages a sophisticated quality assurance program that monitors Health Plan activities and reflects its ongoing focus on quality across all aspects of operations.
