Meet our pediatricians
At Cook Children's, taking care of kids means including the whole family. We take the time to listen to you and your child, answer questions and help you navigate parenthood.
Our doctors are specialists in the health care of infants, children and adolescents. Our team includes board certified pediatricians that, together with you, will get your kids on the path to leading happy and healthy lives.
Monica Farias, M.D.
Dr. Monica Farias received her medical degree from Panama University. She practiced as a pediatrician in Panama for 5yrs before she decided to move to the United States in 1994. Dr. Farias went through her second residency at Children's Hospital of Austin. She is board-certified in pediatrics. She became a physician for Cook Children's Physician Network in 1997 and continues to feel honored to care for each child and be involved with each family. Outside of the office her time is spent with her teenage son, attending his sporting events, and traveling back to Panama to visit with family as much as possible.
Rashmi Jain, M.D.
Dr. Rashmi Jain earned her medical degree at Chicago Medical School in Illinois. She completed her residency at Children's Hospital of Orange County in California where she was honored with a one year appointment as Chief Resident after completion of training. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of families' lives – watching babies grow into beautiful young children and then on to active adolescents.
