Meet Alison Ewing
Ever since I was a child, I knew that caring for others was my calling. I grew up in Keller and graduated from Keller High School. I attended the University of Arkansas...Woo pig sooie!...and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, I began working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. In the MICU, I learned the valuable importance and art of communicating with patient families while advocating for those unable to speak for themselves. After several years at the bedside, I knew that an expanded role as a family nurse practitioner was the next step. I was working in the ICU while simultaneously completing my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama, graduating in 2020. From 2021-2023, I worked in urgent care, treating various injuries and illnesses in children and adults. I started with Cook Children's Pediatrics - Forest Park in April 2023. As a mother, I understand the concerns for children's health, especially in the post-pandemic era of parenthood. I believe each child and family unit is unique. I'm here to help guide, teach and support you. I'm married to my husband, Jared, and we have one son. We're actively involved in our church and enjoy the company of family and friends in our free time.

Yes! Allison was amazing. She helped me fix and navigate a difficult situation. I had a misdiagnosis from an urgent clinic with recommendations that I needed to go to the emergency room after they refused to listen to my symptoms and shamed me for asking clarification. I drove over 2 hours for her care and it was well worth it! I was seen and heard and the problem was exactly what I said from the very beginning! She has amazing bedside manner and such an amazing practitioner!

Both Allison and our nurse were excellent. It was the day after our first night home from the hospital, with our firstborn, and they were both caring, informative, reassuring and very patient with our sleep deprived brains. All of our questions regarding feeding/infant formula were answered in a professional and encouraging manner. I am so thankful we got to see Allison before the weekend

The front desk staff realized my child was having a hard time leaving and offered me legos to help, it was an act of kindness very appreciated to a tired mom and child.
