Meet Candle Johnson

Hi, I'm Candle! As a child, I always had a passion for people and wanting to help others. I always knew my lifelong career would have something to do with the medical field.

I completed my Bachelor's of Science in nursing degree in 2007 from Midwestern State University. In 2007, I worked as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology department at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. After nine years of caring for children with blood and cancer disorders, I attended Texas Woman's University and, in May 2016, obtained my Master's degree in nursing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

In September 2016, I joined the Cook Children's Renaissance Neighborhood Health Center, where my desire is to improve the health of children through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury. I'm board certified in primary care.

I reside in Tarrant County with my daughter. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my daughter and vacationing.
