Meet Julie Mayo
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas in 2000 and went on to complete my Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. After graduating in 2006, I worked in family practice before deciding to specialize in pediatrics.
I love working with children and am passionate about helping them develop healthy habits that can lead to a lifetime of wellness. I believe prevention is key, and I enjoy educating families on making healthy choices. I joined the Cook Children's team in 2016 at the primary care office in Mansfield, where I continue to care for children and support their families.
I live in Mansfield with my two daughters. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and relaxing at our lake house at Possum Kingdom.

Yes, Dr. Julie Michelle Mayo was AMAZING! She provides all the information we needed and listened to our needs! She also provided refills as requested and ordered cough syrup without us having to ask because she heard a little something in [...] chest so that was impressive as we usually have to ask for cough syrup but we're not given any at a prior appt at Cook Children's Urgent care when she was really sick! Provider Mayo also also filled out our needed pow for daycare! I love when a PTO ider is well rounded and works with us as parents and family! Will always try to schedule with her moving forward!
