Hi, I'm Leslie! I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in December of 2011, and then with my Masters of Science in Nursing as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in December of 2017. Both degrees were obtained at the University of Texas at Arlington. I'm a 4-time Clinical Excellence Award recipient and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society at graduation.

I joined the Cook Children's family in May of 2011, initially, as a nurse extern in the emergency department. I participated in Cook Children's 10-week externship program during the summer before graduating with my BSN. I returned after graduation to work as a Registered Nurse on the medical/surgical floor, and later transferred to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, where I worked and continued my MSN education. I worked as a provider at an outside pediatric urgent care clinic upon graduation and then joined the McCart NHC team as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in September of 2019. I'm a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and am fluent in reading, writing and speaking Spanish.

I live in Fort Worth with my husband, Raul, one son, two daughters and 5 dogs. I'm a dedicated mother who enjoys watching my youngest daughter dance on the Honeycombs Drill Team. My middle daughter is in college attending UT San Antonio, majoring in Marketing, and my son is at OU majoring in Cyber Security. In any spare time available, I love traveling to Disney World, beach life and gardening.
