Meet Dr. Dirk Verbrugghe

My name is Dr. Dirk Verbrugghe. I am so excited to join the Cook Children's Family after having worked 20 years at OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City.

I have been a Pediatric ER Physician for 17 years and I love what I do. I love to take care of you and your injured or ill child. I can hopefully be a calming presence in the storm that can be a visit to an emergency department for your precious child.

I have 4 children of my own and know the joy and chaos that they bring to our lives. I like to tell people that I go to work to relax :)

I am heavily involved in our children's activities including band, scouting, and sports. I love to read, go camping, do a little woodworking, and sit in the driveway hanging out with the kids and neighbors.
