Meet Dr. Kathryn King
Dr. King currently works as a pediatric hospitalist (a doctor who only cares for patients in the hospital) at our main campus in Fort Worth. She has a passion for hospitalist medicine as she enjoys seeing a child improve before her eyes and caring for them every step of the way during their illness. She has two young children of her own and has learned how challenging parenting can be. She enjoys volunteering at her daughter's elementary school in Plano.
She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Louisiana State University, and her Medical Degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2008. Her pediatric residency was completed at the University of Texas-Southwestern, and she stayed on as a hospitalist faculty member at Children's Health/UTSW for 6 years. She did a year in private practice and found her perfect job match at Cook Children's Medical Center in 2018. She is looking forward to the opening of the Prosper Campus in the near future.
