Meet Dr. Monica Peng

I grew up in the Dallas suburbs and went to medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center. During my time in college, I recognized early on that I had a passion for medicine and a thirst for knowledge; however it wasn't until medical school that I found joy in healing and forming relationships with the pediatric population. It was this realization that later drove me to do my residency in pediatric medicine. After completing residency with my husband in Florida state to be with his family, we made the decision to return to our home in Texas and to be closer to my family.

Today, I have been practicing pediatric hospital medicine for more than 8 years. My husband and I, with our 2 children, reside in Far North Dallas. We have a blended Chinese and Cuban family and enjoy sharing our traditions together. When I am able to break away from my children's academic duties, I enjoy crafting, creating balloon arches and throwing events for our family and friends.
