Meet Dr. Bernadette White

Dr. White is board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. She completed her pediatric residency at the Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and neonatal-perinatal fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital, Houston, Texas.

She developed a love for taking care of children at an early age, with a special interest in neonatology after experiencing the NICU personally. The NICU provides an environment where her interests in advocacy, patient and parental education, and multidisciplinary care and communication combine. She is involved with the Safe Baby Sleep program with Cook Children's and is co-lead for the Safe Sleep Taskforce for the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Council.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. White enjoys spending time with her husband and children, learning sign language and painting.
