Meet Dr. Mesfin Woldesenbet

Dr. Mesfin Woldesenbet was born in Ethiopia and graduated from medical school in Addis Ababa in 1988. His early practice included three years as a general practitioner in Jimma, Ethiopia. He then served as a Senior House Officer in Pediatrics/Neonatology in England for four and a half years. Since 2005, he has been a Board-Certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist in the United States of America.

He has held positions as an assistant professor in Pediatrics at the University of Texas at Houston and a medical director of a NICU at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Southwest in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Woldesenbet is involved with several non-profit organizations, including being the founder and president of HANDS. HANDS is a non-profit organization that assists in developing neonatal ICUs in Ethiopia.

He has received several awards and has been featured in a number of local magazines to promote different neonatal ICU's.
