Dr. Karimi, board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine, received her medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College in India. She completed her pediatric residency at University of South Alabama Hospitals, Mobile, Alabama, and neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas. She served on faculty as an Associate Professor of neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School from 2005-2008.
Dr. Karimi is married and has a daughter. When not caring for sick babies at work, she is tending to her garden and home. She enjoys cooking multiethnic cuisine and entertaining. Whenever possible she volunteers her time at the Dallas-Fort Worth Hindu Temple and Greenhill School. She also enjoys reading, traveling, sewing/smocking, watching movies and relaxing.
