Meet Dr. Ronald G. Burke

Experiencing the privilege of taking care of children with orthopedic problems in his third year of residency training led Ronald Burke, M.D. to pursue a career in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.

"Seeing children recover from major orthopedic problems is truly rewarding. I have had the privilege of working with children and their families for 24 years. While I enjoy all areas of pediatric orthopedics, I have a special interest in scoliosis surgery, sports injuries and fracture care."

Dr. Burke graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University with a B.S. degree in biology. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, earning A.O.A. academic honors. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth, serving as Chief Resident his Senior year. His Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics was completed at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

An avid sports fan, Dr. Burke still plays in competitive basketball leagues and enjoys golf. He and his wife Dr. Sherri Burke also volunteer at the Mercy Clinic in Fort Worth. Their two children are in college and still keep them on the go.

I'd like to recognize Dr. Burke. Dr. Burke is probably one of the best doctors that I've ever encountered, especially in dealing with for children. His bed side manner is great. He's straight to the point, but he's also caring and he's also willing to give you the time you need if you have questions and you want clarification on something ... and you don't ever feel rushed. You don't ever feel like he's just trying to get to the next patient. – Patient family
