I understand surgery for your child can be a stressful and challenging experience. I have personally experienced this myself as a parent because my son had appendicitis, which required a laparoscopic appendectomy. My role as your pediatric surgeon is to make the surgical experience as comfortable and stress free as possible for both you and your child. Helping you understand the reasons for surgery, how a surgery is done, and how to care for your child after a procedure is my primary goal. Having your child evaluated for surgery may seem like a scary experience, but it doesn't have to be. It can be a pleasant step towards achieving a healthy life together.
