Angela Cabarcas, MD
- English, Spanish
Since elementary school, where she first discovered her love for science and helping others, Angela Hippeli, M.D., knew she would become a doctor, and she's never doubted that career choice. She is the first physician in her family and comes from a humble upbringing.
Dr. Hippeli understands the challenges and barriers to health care with limited resources, and has pursued working in communities where she knows she can make a difference. "I strive to be a clinician, advocate, and mentor to my patients and their families."
Before coming to Cook Children's, Dr. Hippeli spent seven years participating in global health work in a rural community of the Dominican Republic. "It's rewarding to witness the growth of the children and the improvement in the health status of the area year after year."
When she's not working, Dr. Hippeli's favorite activities include Latin dancing, yoga, and snowboarding. As the daughter of a chef, she also enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties. She also loves to travel internationally and experience cultures that are very different from her own.
