Meet Dr. Cheryl Horn
Dr. Horn grew up in Duncanville, TX where she graduated high school at the top of her class. She went on to graduate with honors from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. It was during her third year in medical school that she fell in love with pediatrics and knew that she was meant to be a pediatrician. She then returned to the Dallas area to complete her residency at Children's Medical Center at UT Southwestern.
After residency, Dr. Horn pursued her dream of practicing primary pediatrics. "I truly have the best job in the world. I get to take care of kids and hang out with them and their families all day. It doesn't get better than this!" Most of all she enjoys the bonds formed with each family and loves watching the growth and development of each of her patients.
She especially loves giving advice to new parents and being supportive in their journey of raising children. She knows firsthand the challenges of balancing a career with family needs. "I want parents to know that I am here for them and their child every step of the way. Being a parent is the most challenging experience but also the most rewarding."
From the newborn period to the teenage years and everything in between, Dr. Horn loves it all. "There isn't a day that goes by that I haven't laughed and been entertained by something my patients say or do." She considers it an honor and privilege to take care of your precious babies.
Dr. Horn lives in Frisco with her husband, son and two daughters. She has a fascination with giraffes and is a huge fan of all things Texas A&M - Gig 'Em Aggies! She enjoys cycling, hiking, and traveling to any destination that has a beach, especially to visit family in Hawaii. Many of her weekends are spent cheering on her son in baseball tournaments.
