Meet Dr. Cheryl Sanborn
Dr. Cheryl Sanborn, a native to Austin, first realized she wanted to pursue pediatrics during a mission trip in high school. It was during this trip that she realized the great need for medical prevention and the dramatic impact it can have on a child's long term well-being.
Pursing her dream to become a pediatrician, Dr. Sanborn completed her undergraduate degree and medical school at Texas A&M. It was there in College Station that Dr. Sanborn met her husband and local Dentonite, McLean.
In 2012, after completing their residencies in San Antonio, the Sanborns relocated to North Texas to be closer to their invaluable family. Dr. Sanborn has been practicing in Denton ever since. After a decade in the community, she has grown to love and call Denton her own. She along with her husband, three children, and dog enjoy exploring the community, attending local soccer games, searching for new eateries, biking, and serving at their local church.
With a passion for preventive medicine, Dr. Sanborn hopes to care for not only her patients' physical health but also their mental and spiritual health. Dr. Sanborn enjoys empowering her patients and their families with detailed knowledge throughout all the stages of growth and development. She feels privileged to partner with families as their most precious gifts develop from tiny newborns to thriving adults.
When not at work Dr. Sanborn enjoys reading, cooking, swimming, and most importantly a good snuggle on the couch with her kiddos.

Dr Sanborn is hands down the best pediatrician. She makes my kids feel so relaxed and cared for, which is huge because my eldest has anxiety and my second has had a tough medical history and used to have a hard time with any sort of medical staff. I recommend Dr Sanborn to literally every parent.

Dr. Sanborn continues to be our favorite pediatrician we've ever met. She is so kind, she understands how to make quick friends with the children, she is very empathetic, and knows how to continue with some chaotic siblings in the room at the same time. We absolutely love her.

Dr Cheryl Sanborn is phenomenal. She gets down on my son's level to speak with him. He is 3 years old and she really includes him in his care. With my newborn, she listens to all my concerns. She takes time to let me talk without rushing me and makes me feel heard. I could not ask for a better provider to see my children. I am so grateful for her and for all the staff at Cook Children's in north Denton.

Beyond impressed at every visit especially this one as we had a bit more to discuss over health concerns. I was nervous at first due to past experience with other providers (not at cooks ) however I wasn't nervous for long thanks to her expertise and bedside manner .
