Meet Dr. Jordan Torres
I did not always know that I wanted to become a pediatrician. Before I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to be a fireman, an architect, a child psychologist, a cook, and an animal rescue volunteer. What all of these paths shared was the ability to positively touch the lives of families on a personal level. I was pursuing my child psychology degree when I realized I wanted to help children not just in their mental wellbeing, but to walk alongside them and their families throughout all aspects of their health. I became a pre-medicine major the next day.
I grew up in Dallas-Fort Worth and I am proud to come from a family of hard working firemen, paramedics, and self-taught carpenters. I was the first in my family to go to medical school, and I lived in and fell in love with the Keller community while attending Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. It is a genuine honor to serve Keller now as a community pediatrician.
Like my patients, my family is the most important thing to me, and I will care for your family just as I would my own. I want to be a source of trusted medical advice for you and to stand by your family throughout all of life's stages. It is my sincere belief that everyone who cares deeply for children is a child themselves at heart: hopeful, resilient, compassionate, joyful, and honest. I aim to always embody those qualities for my patients and their families.

Fun Facts:
-If I wasn't a doctor today, I would be a high school biology teacher.
-My passions include newborn care, empowering new moms, healthy eating, and adolescent mental health.
-I have 3 rescue dogs, all named after comic book characters: Gwen Stacy (Spiderman), Wanda Maximoff (The Avengers), and Talia Al Ghul (Batman). Ironically, none of their personalities match their namesake.
-I am a huge bookworm. I could talk about Harry Potter for hours.
-My favorite movies are Home Alone 1 & 2 and Hocus Pocus.
-When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my husband, exploring outdoors, reading, cooking for my family and friends, and hosting game night.

Dr. Torres is consistently excellent, compassionate, and does a really nice job answering my questions. This last visit I had a question about distinguishing between seasonal allergies and a mild sinus infection and she did an amazing job explaining the diagnostic criteria in approachable language and showing me some quick examples, what to look for, and pitfalls. She fully answered my question, made me a smarter and a better caregiver, and did it quickly!

Dr. Torres, she ALWAYs listens and truly cares of her patients. We have been seeing her for three years and all of our kids see her. We would follow her anywhere because we trust her that much with our babies. Our kids love her and get excited to see her, which makes the entire experience better!

We have been to the office 3 times now, and our experiences have been so good. When calling to seek out providers, scheduling our first appt and coming in for the first time, [...] helped me so much. She was super sweet and gracious. Dr. [...] saw us when Dr. Torres was still out. She answered questions, made me feel good about what we had been doing so far, and was really sweet. Dr. Torres. I cannot say enough good things about her. She listened and explained and made me feel completely validated in some things. She even called after hours to see how I was doing as a first time mom with twins. I am so grateful for these ladies and making our experiences as good as they were. Hopefully they all stay and my babies can see them until they are 18
