Meet Dr. Kristina Reed

Kristina Reed knew from a young age that she wanted to become a physician. Her parents have memories of her walking around with a stethoscope kit at age four asking her grandparents if they needed any shots! This dream grew into an understanding that the foundation of anyone's wealth is their health and becoming a physician allowed her to help her patients live their best life. This desire fit into the world of pediatrics well since pediatricians work tirelessly to prevent chronic health conditions and keep children safe in order for them to fulfill their hopes, dreams, and potential!

Dr. Reed completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin, hook 'em! After graduating medical school at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth, she completed her pediatric residency training at OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City. She spent a year working as a general pediatrician in Fayetteville, Arkansas while her husband completed his sports medicine fellowship training. After his training was complete, they both knew they wanted to return to DFW where both of their families and friends reside.

Dr. Reed's clinical interests include newborn concerns, helping mothers breastfeed, asthma and allergies, adolescent medicine, sleep and mental health. The wide variety of clinical concerns in pediatrics makes it such an interesting field and the long-term implications for health and safety of our children make pediatrics such a rewarding specialty. Dr. Reed's goal is to create strong, long-term relationships with her families and have meaningful communication regarding health care concerns.

In her free time, Kristina and her husband enjoy traveling, trying out new restaurants, playing tennis, and taking care of their cat, Leo!

In the past several years, Dr. Reed has been the recipient of several awards for her pediatric care, to include, Mom Approved Physician (2021 – 2023), Best of Southwest DFW Readers Choice Award (Best Pediatrician category) for 2021 and 40 under 40 by the Fort Worth Business Press (2022).
