Meet Dr. May Moayad
Dr. May Moayad was born and raised in DFW and was inspired by her uncle, a pediatrician in Arlington, to go into pediatrics herself. After volunteering as a youth with her uncle at the annual Hispanic Wellness Fair in Fort Worth helping with back to school physicals, Dr. Moayad realized that this was the career for her. She loved the idea of caring for the children in her community.
She attended college at the University of Texas at Austin, went to Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth for medical school, and then moved to New Orleans for residency training at the Tulane-Ochsner program. She spent 5 years in New Orleans. The first 3 years were spent in residency training, which further fueled her passion for caring for children of all backgrounds, and she then was in practice at an Oschner Pediatric Clinic.
After being away for 5 years, Dr. Moayad and her husband decided that it was time to come home. As a medical student she had spent time at Cook Children's and dreamt of working there some day, so she is especially excited to be joining the team. She believes that all children deserve high quality health care, that collaborating and working with patient's families is an essential part of being able to take good care of her patients, and that all children and parents deserve respect from their medical team. Dr. Moayad is happy and honored to support families as they raise their precious children and is excited to bring these passions with her to Cook Children's.
In her free time, Dr. Moayad enjoys spending time with her family and her faith community. She also enjoys community building activities, travelling, watching soccer and Pixar movies.

The entire staff has been amazing every time we've come in. From the courtesy of the ladies up front to the doctors and nurses in back. Our concerns are always genuinely heard and addressed and our babe treated like family. I've reccomended this practice and Dr. Moayad to my friends that are or becoming parents soon.

Dr. Moayad has been wonderful. She made sure to give us extra medicine for our move and change of medical care.She worked with me to tweak my sons medication to get him the right dose. Both my kids liked her and will miss her.
