Meet Dr. Meggie Diaz
I grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana (nothing beats great Cajun food!) but have lived in quite a few places since graduating high school. Now, I'm new to Fort Worth, and after hearing so much about how wonderful it is, my husband and I are excited to experience it for ourselves.
From the moment I started my pediatrics rotation in medical school, I knew I'd found my calling. So many adult health problems could be avoided by building healthy habits early in life. Pediatrics gives me the chance to partner with families to help children grow up strong and healthy, preventing challenges before they start. My passion for this work is personal—I struggled with my weight as a kid, and at age 11, my parents stepped in to help. They introduced me to sports and guided me toward healthier choices. Thanks to them, I'm now an active, healthy adult.
Another passion of mine is serving others through missions. I had the privilege of working as a pediatrician in rural East Africa for several years, providing care to children with little to no access to medical services. Preventive care meant something different there, but it was just as essential.
Outside of work, I love being part of mission projects through my church. I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, going on adventures, participating in Bible studies, reading, exercising, traveling, and soaking in the beauty around me.
For me, pediatrics is about more than medicine—it's about creating opportunities for children and families to thrive, no matter where they are or what they're facing.

Dr. Diaz was exceptional! She made the transition for my boys to a new doctor and office seamless. My boys were discriminated against and pushed out of the office they had been going to since birth because they were on Medicaid and their doctor retired. Dr.Diaz was so kind and welcoming my boys felt immediately comfortable with her, she made the transition so easy for them and me. I am so grateful for her and [...] who helped me schedule and get the boys started with Dr. Diaz. Thank you!

Dr Diaz gave us the needed information to make sure we knew what to watch for with our son. This in turn helped us make the needed decisions to take him to the er and they admitted him. We are very grateful for her insight and wisdom on the matter.
