Meet Dr. Nancy Taneja

I have always had a heart for working with children. My passion for learning and teaching made pediatrics the perfect fit, and for over 14 years, I've loved helping kids grow and thrive at every stage. I believe that caring for a child is about more than just medicine-it's about truly understanding each child and family, building trust, and walking alongside them through all of life's seasons.

I have a special interest in dermatology and breastfeeding medicine but am experienced in all areas of pediatric care. Whether you're navigating newborn sleep, toddler tantrums, or teenage transitions, I'm here to support, guide, and cheer your family on.

I was born in North India and moved to Texas at just two months old. I grew up in Plano and graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in molecular and cell biology and a minor in psychology. I earned my medical degree from Texas Tech University and completed my pediatrics residency training in both Philadelphia and Galveston. After years of study and training, I chose to return home to care for the very community that helped raise me.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart-an Aggie just like me! Together, we have two energetic, fun-loving kids who keep life exciting and messy in the best way. Being a mom myself, I deeply understand the ups and downs of parenting. I know what it's like to have questions at 2 a.m., to celebrate the small wins, and to want nothing more than to see your child happy and healthy. That personal experience shapes the compassionate, down-to-earth care I provide every day.

When I'm not in the office, you'll find me riding my Peloton, baking treats with my kids, training for a race, or wandering the aisles of Target-probably with a chai latte in hand. I love to travel, especially to places with rich culture and beautiful scenery. Fall is my favorite season-give me all the pumpkins, football, and cozy family time! And on Sundays, I'm cheering on the Dallas Cowboys with my family.

I've been honored as a "Mom-Approved Doctor" by DFW Child Magazine and named one of the "Best Doctors in Collin County and Dallas" by D Magazine for seven years in a row. I truly can't wait to welcome your little one and walk alongside you on your parenting journey-every step of the way.

    All nurses and front office staff were helpful and friendly. Dr. Taneja is wonderful and we drive over an hour to see her. I feel I can completely trust her and the way she interacts with my children is incredible. Her bedside manner and knowledge is amazing and she puts any of my fears at ease.
