Meet Dr. Osaretin Aimuyo
Ever since I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. I always loved going to my pediatrician and always thought, "he's got a white coat, and cool tools, and makes me feel better!"
I grew up in Carrollton and went to Hebron High School, where I fostered my interests in biology and working with kids. These interests led me to Cornell University, where I majored in Biology & Society with a minor in Science and Technology Studies. I also spent summers volunteering at Children's Medical Center in Dallas and working at my high school as a marching band technician.
I earned my medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. During my time in medical school, I continued exploring my interest in working with kids through the PULSE and HPREP organizations -- initiatives focused on preparing high school students for health careers and developing college readiness. I also worked with an organization that allowed us to perform music for pediatric patients in the hospital. With the help of my classmates, I also led the creation of the school's first-ever music video, "Stritch is How We Do," published research in Springer's Otorhinolaryngology Reports, and graduated with Honors in Bioethics and Professionalism.
As I had apparently not seen enough of the not-Texas U.S., I then traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I completed my residency in Pediatrics at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital. I participated in several projects on advocacy and quality improvement and won an Academic Achievement award for my performance. I also continued to make music videos for my program. I then briefly returned to Chicago and worked in a private practice before returning home to Dallas to work with Cook Children's.
My favorite part of my job is easily the kids. It's always fun to interact with them and gain a new perspective on the world through their eyes. I also love being able to reassure and encourage parents as they learn to care for their children.
I am very close with my family and love spending time with them outside of work. In my spare time, I am also an avid consumer of pop culture, television, film, music, and video games. I enjoy working out, and I am also a singer, dancer, clarinetist, and guitarist. Additionally, I am a huge fan of Disney, Power Rangers, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Compassion and evidence-based medicine drive my practice philosophy, and I am very excited to care for you and your children.

Dr Osaretin Aimuyo is every first time parent's dream in a pediatrician. He's engaged, compassionate, proactive, knowledgeable, and extremely professional without sacrificing warmth. We feel heard, respected, and that our son is truly cared for when we go to the doctor. We couldn't be more impressed and hope that we can continue to take our baby here as long as possible. Additionally, we have had entirely positive experiences with every staff member at this location since our very first newborn visit. The care is top notch and we are so grateful.

Dr. Aimuyo. He is just an awesome Dr. My kids were under the care of [...] beginning in 2001. So when I gave birth again, there was no question on who I worked return to. Of course, when I heard of his retirement I was saddened. But I must say Dr. Aimuyo impressed me from the beginning and I am glad that we have him. He is informative, patient, great with kids, great with parents, just an all around great person.

Dr. Aimuyo was excellent as always. Never brushes off any question, very thorough assessment while explaining everything and taking care of what he can take care of right away, great sense of humor, just overall great bedside manners. I forgot the MA's name but she was very personable and informative as well.

Dr. Aimuyo is the perfect doctor. My kids cried when I used to tell them we had to go to the doctor when we were still with our old pediatrician. Now, with Dr. Aimuyo, they are excited to go to the doctor. Outside of the doctor, the rest of the nurses and staff are amazing as well. Giving, caring, communicates really well... ALL the good adjectives you would want for a doctor's office.

We transferred our child to this pediatric office because our previous one was not so gentle and/or friendly. We came in for our child's 2 month visit& this office and staff are friendly and respectful and they are so gentle with the children. We are so happy with our choice, experience, and the office itself.

I wish I can remember the medical assistant that my child got. She was so friendly and gentle with our child. Dr. Aimuyo was also great! He answered our questions and spent a great amount of time doing the check up & actually interacted with us compared to our previous pediatric. The staff were all so amazing!
