Meet Dr. Rita Joe-Yu
Dr Rita Joe-Yu was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree at Baylor University and went on to obtain her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr Joe-Yu has been practicing in McKinney since 2005. She is board-certified and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr Joe-Yu loves being a pediatrician because of her unique relationships with her patients and their families. She is honored to be part of the lives of her patients for many years and has witnessed their transformation from infants into adults. She has taken care of children of varied backgrounds and life experiences. Dr Joe-Yu's experiences range from routine well checkups and common illnesses to more complex medical conditions such as ADHD and asthma; her practical hands-on experience comes from handling the playful antics of her sons.
During her free time, Dr Joe-Yu spends her time with her husband and her two school-age sons. If she is not traveling, she is planning her next vacation destination. She also enjoys learning various aspects of different cultures from people around her and in her travels.

Everyone there is always very professional friendly. [...] was very attentive, answered all my questions I had. She Helped calm my baby boy he was very nervous when he had to get a shot but she reassured him everything would be ok to help calm his nerves.
