From an early age, Dr. Tina Manshadi loved working with children from tutoring young kids to bringing smiles dressed as a kangaroo mascot at a children's hospital. In medical school, she was naturally drawn to pediatrics because she enjoyed caring for children and educating families. While serving in a rural clinic in Guatemala, she realized that pediatricians serve to be a powerful voice for children sometimes when they are at their weakest. This belief drives her to work hard and provide the best quality care to every child as if they were her own.
Dr. Manshadi was born and raised in the Dallas area. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and then obtained her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and stayed for her pediatric training at Texas Children's Hospital. She moved briefly to Nashville where she practiced primary care and then switched gears to urgent care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She then returned to Houston where she worked in urgent care at Texas Children's. After 20 years away from her home, she finally made it back to Dallas and is excited to be joining the Cook Children's team to take care of children in her hometown.
Dr. Manshadi sees the importance in caring for a child's entire well-being, including their physical, mental, and emotional health. It is an honor for families to entrust their precious children in her care and to watch them grow to their full potential. She strives to be a strong advocate for her patients and work alongside families so they can achieve their best health. As a mother of two children, she is passionate about supporting mothers on their breastfeeding journey and is an IABLE Outpatient Breastfeeding Champion.
She is married with 2 wonderful children who have taught her so much as a pediatrician. Outside of her work, she loves to participate in community building activities, volunteer at her children's schools, read novels, and travel with her family to new places.
