Meet Dr. Victoria Dao
Born and raised in North Texas, Dr. Dao had found herself living in a multitude of places, but is thrilled to come back home to practice. Growing up, Dr. Dao graduated from Dunbar High School, then Texas Christian University. In her pursuit of realizing her dream of becoming a pediatrician, she found herself on the beaches of Saint Maarten during the first two didactic years, New York City to complete clinical rotations, finally graduating from the American University of the Caribbean Medical School.
Residency was completed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS and as it was the only children's hospital in the state, there was no shortage of pathology to see and treat, as well as a diverse patient population to get to know. Here is where she found her heart: the underserved population, specifically in the area of primary care.
Watching not only the kids growing up but families expand and being able to be a part of that journey in any small part was, and continues to be, an honor. Pediatrics is not only about the children but the families!
Dr. Dao recognizes that "the beauty of having done residency during the pandemic was seeing how quickly the world can shift and advance which is incredibly fascinating. Medicine has made leaps and bounds in a few short decades, and it's exciting to see what else lies around the corner." Being able to see help new and experienced parents "is a joy!"
Outside of medicine, Dr. Dao enjoys crafting, being surrounded by family and friends, her two wild dogs, and most importantly: sleep! Dr. Dao also loves hiking, exploring new places, and being around huge bodies of water but not quite in them.

Dr. Dao is such an amazing and sweet doctor! Both my girls have said they are glad she's their doctor and appreciates how she always goes over what she's going to do before doing it. I also want to then the two NP (I believe that's what they are) who had to give my daughter a vaccine and a prick in her finger. Through her dramatic reaction they were calm and did what they needed to do quickly and weren't frustrated or anything with her. For that I thank you and also apologize for her dramatic self.
