Hi, I'm Dr. Nguyen. I knew from the start of medical school that pediatrics was my calling. The joy and fulfillment I found in caring for children made the path clear. During my pediatric residency, I discovered my passion for pediatric rheumatology, a specialty that combines fascinating science, a tight-knit and supportive community, and, most importantly, the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their families.

I completed my pediatric residency and a three-year pediatric rheumatology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, home to the largest group of practicing pediatric rheumatologists in the country. There, I cared for a diverse population of children from Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. These experiences not only strengthened my clinical skills, but also deepened my appreciation for the resilience and kindness of the families I serve.

My commitment to providing excellent, evidence-based care is matched by my dedication to guiding families through what can be an overwhelming time. I'm especially passionate about the education of both patients and medical learners and believe that clear communication and understanding are key to improving the patient experience. This commitment led me to obtain a Master's in Education from the University of Houston during my training.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our newborn son and beloved dogs. Whether I'm exercising, reading, or simply soaking in the joys of new parenthood, I bring a fresh perspective to my work. Becoming a mother has only deepened my respect for the trust families place in their child's care provide. It's a responsibility I carry with great honor.
