Meet Dr. Keisha Shaheed

As a confident 9 year old, I declared to my parents "I'm gonna be a pediatrician". From that moment on, I was encouraged to pursue medicine by them and all of my community members. Whenever there was an injury, a scrape or cut, the response was "let's go see Dr. Keisha." From then on, from shadowing our family doctor to volunteering at the local hospital, I was encouraged at every turn.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling with my family, enjoying nature with my husband and 4-month-old son and playing board games. I also enjoy making pottery and reading.

    Dr Shaheed is always caring and considerate and the nurse that called me prior to the appt was just as great!! I kind of freak out doing telemedicine appts thinking I'm not going to be able to get on but the nurse was there to reassure me I was doing it all right. I wish Cooks wasn't 3hrs away so all my littles can experience the great care Cooks offers!!!
