Attend a class - Community Education

Community Education

For family members and child care workers in our community, the Education Department provides access to health information and training. We offer regularly scheduled classes in Pediatric First Aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and asthma management. In addition, you can find online information through the Health Library.

Attend a class - Professional Education

Professional Education

For health care professionals, we foster continued growth and development through advanced certification courses and specialty-specific workshops, seminars and conferences. We also offer weekly Pediatric Grand Rounds that provide current information and continuing professional education credit on a variety of topics. Many of these presentations are available for viewing in our Grand Rounds video library.

Specifically for school nurses, we offer two School Nurse Symposiums each summer and Webcasts in the spring and fall. School nurses receive updated and practical information so they can provide excellent care to the pediatric patient in the school setting. They hear from experts on topics such as diabetes, sports injuries, asthma, epilepsy and mental health, and receive continuing nursing education credit.
