Meet Dr. Natalia Chaimowitz

As a child, Dr. Chaimowitz was fascinated with medicine and the workings of the human body. From a young age, she decided she wanted to be a pediatrician. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Chaimowitz took an immunology course and was mesmerized by the workings of the immune system and the complex processes needed to keep us healthy. She decided to continue her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she obtained her medical degree and a Ph.D. in immunology. During residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Dr. Chaimowitz continued her studies in immunology looking at the role of the immune system in the development of inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Chaimowitz completed her fellowship in allergy and immunology at Texas Children's Hospital, where she focused on the care of pediatric patients with primary immune disorders and patients needing hematopoetic stem cell transplantation.

Outside of hospital and clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband Eric and three daughters, Eliana, Emilia and Eliza. She also enjoys running, weight lifting, HIIT workouts, peloton and crochet.
