Meet Dr. Lily Han

Lily Han, MD, FAAP, DABOM, DACLM has been serving families in the North Texas community for over twenty years and is honored to be caring for her second generation of patients - children of patients who have married and started families of their own. She is excited to announce her own sons will soon be joining the North Texas medical community as physicians upon their graduation from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

Since the age of seven, Dr. Han felt destined to become a physician when she first announced her intentions during an interview with a local Dallas newspaper. She grew up in Dallas volunteering at Medical City Hospital delivering needed cheer to young patients and flowers to new mothers. She graduated from J.J. Pearce High School and guided by a sense of adventure attended college at the University of California Berkeley earning a bachelor's degree in molecular cell biology and neuroscience. She then moved to New York City for medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College where she was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Han completed her pediatric residency at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital earning both the Cornell Medical Pediatric Teaching and the Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Han is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She also is one of the first physicians in North Texas to earn additional board certifications from both the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine AND the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Han is also a founding board member of the Dallas Obesity Society, which serves to educate and empower DFW clinicians to treat the obesity epidemic. Upon graduation she returned home to Dallas with her husband to raise their three sons and to establish Windhaven Pediatrics.

As an avid home chef and fitness enthusiast, Dr. Han recently expanded her pediatric practice to encompass lifestyle, culinary and obesity medicine. After twenty years in practice, Dr. Han observed the need for lifestyle-guided disease prevention and education to help her newborns transition to healthy young adults. She is one of the first physicians in North Texas to earn additional board certifications from the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She uses this knowledge to prevent, treat and even reverse diseases in your family by addressing their underlying causes with lifestyle changes.

When Dr. Han is not in the office, you will find her perusing the Dallas Farmer's Market with her Akita, kickboxing at the gym or fulfilling specialty cake orders. She enjoys hosting multi-generational Sunday family dinners with her growing family and would love to chat with you about your family. She looks forward to partnering with you to empower your children to live happier and healthier lives.

    Dr. Han is excellent! My baby girl is in great hands. Dr. Han listens to our concerns but more importantly she explains what's going on with my daughter's development and whats going on when she is sick. Dr. Han has called with results after hours, which is very reassuring to know the provider has not forgotten us. I truly appreciate Dr. Han and would recommend her every time!!!
