Meet Dr. Han Zhuang Beh
Dr. Beh moved around throughout his life: He started in Malaysia, arrived in Iowa during his grade school years, was in New York for high school before arriving in Texas for his undergraduate education at Texas Tech University. He had the honor of being the highest ranking graduate with a 4.0 GPA, obtaining a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Beh then obtained his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch followed by his Plastic Surgery residency training at St. Louis University. He found his way back to the great state of Texas for fellowship, where he completed an additional year of specialized training in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Texas Children's Hospital and has chosen to stay in Texas to serve the children of his adoptive home.
Dr. Beh's passion for Plastic Surgery stems for the specialty's history of surgical innovation and problem-solving. He applies his knowledge to each unique patient and problem to develop an individualized treatment plan. He chose to focus on craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery as it provides the opportunity for a surgeon to develop long term relationships with his patients as they grow into adulthood.
While Dr. Beh is trained to operate from head to toe, he has particular interest in the head and face. In this area, he is able to combine his artistic and precise nature to solve problems. Dr. Beh also enjoys integrating new technologies into his practice. He utilizes virtual surgical planning for complex procedures to perform surgeries on the computer prior to the actual surgery. This allows for custom 3D models, guides, and implants to be created and utilized during surgery, reducing the time under anesthesia while improving outcomes.
Being a father to a rambunctious toddler has helped Dr. Beh develop an appreciation for the challenges of caring for children outside of the medical setting. When developing treatment plans with families, he takes these day to day challenges into account to make the process as easy as possible.
Outside of work, Dr. Beh loves spending time with his family; cooking, and eating. He also likes to travel, particularly to explore new places. In the winter, he is enjoys going on snowboarding trips.

The nurse and the doctor did a great job and I highly appreciate her child advocate [...] that helped her stay calm and also laughing and focused on other things. The team my daughter had did an amazing job and we really where grateful for them all.
