How to eCheck-In on the MyCookChildren's App

Checking in for your child's appointment just got easier. With the MyCookChildren's app, you can check in ahead of time and save yourself a few extra minutes in the waiting room.
In this article, we'll walk you through the simple steps to check in ahead of time and save time at your visit.
Step 1: log in
Log in to your MyCookChildren's account on the MyCookChildren's App.

Step 2: begin eCheck-in
- On the MyCookChildren's app home screen, select the child's profile that you need to e-Check In for. You can double-check which profile you're in by looking at the top of your screen. Your child's name will appear there in bold.
- Select the three dots (ellipsis) located towards the top right of the app screen to go to the “Shortcuts” screen.

Step 3: select visits
You are now on the “Shortcuts” screen. Select the “Visits” button which will take you to the Appointments screen where you'll find a complete listing of your child's appointment and visits.

Step 4: choose your appointment
On the “Appointments” screen, you'll see a list of your child's appointment information. Most of the time, upcoming appointments will be right at the top, but you might need to scroll to find the one you're looking for.
Tap the visit you want, select “eCheck-In,” and you'll move to the next screen with more details and options. If you don't see your child's upcoming appointment, reach out to the clinic directly, they'll be happy to help.

Step 5: begin eCheck-in
Once you've selected the appointment, you're ready to start the “eCheck-in” process. Under “Get Ready,” you'll find the eCheck-In option. Select the “Begin” button on the right. Please note: you'll only be able to begin the eCheck-in process up to 7 days before the appointment.

Step 6: fill out personal information
On this screen, you'll review your child's contact and personal information. If anything needs an update, just tap the “Edit” button under that section. When everything looks good, tap the green “Next” at the bottom to keep going.

Step 7: verify insurance information
You're now on the “Insurance Verification” screen. You can upload photos of your insurance card, update or remove coverage and add any new insurance. When everything looks right, tap the green “Next” at the bottom to move on.

Step 8: sign documents
On the “Sign documents” screen you'll find documents for you to review and e-sign.
- Tap the green “Review and sign” button under each document.
- Review each document and fill out the required information (any required information will have a red asterisk (*) next to it).
- Once you input the information, the “Sign Here” option will appear blue indicating you are now able to e-sign the document. Use your finger to sign in the box provided.
After signing all required documents, tap the green “Next” button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 9: confirm current medications
On the “Current Medications” screen, you'll make sure your child's medication list is up to date.
- Look over the list of current medications.
- Add any new ones or remove anything your child is no longer taking.
- Then scroll down to pick or confirm the pharmacy you'd like to use if a prescription is needed for this visit.
Once everything is correct, tap the green “Next” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 10: complete patient questionnaire
The “Patient questionnaire” section has two screens. On the first screen, you'll need to answer a few brief questions about your child and the reason for the visit. Once you've answered all the questions, tap the green “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.
On the second screen, you can review your questionnaire responses. If there are any responses you want to change, select the “Edit” button next to the corresponding response. Once all responses are correct, tap the “Submit” button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 11: fill out medical history
On the “Medical History” screen you'll be asked about your child's medical history. Select any that apply by tapping on the corresponding box. Note: if you accidentally choose an incorrect box, tap on it again to undo the selection.
Once you are done, tap the green “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 12: complete surgical history
On the “Surgical History” screen you'll be asked about your child's surgical history. Like the “Medical History” page, select any that apply by tapping on the corresponding box. Note: if you accidentally choose an incorrect box, tap on it again to undo the selection.
Once you are done, tap the green “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 13: finalize eCheck-In:
On this screen, you will review your responses to your child's medical and surgical history. If any changes need to be made, select the “Modify” button.
Once you are done reviewing your responses, tap the green “Submit and Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.
